My Favorite Eyeshadow Sticks
On a day to day basis I don't have a whole lot of time to be messing around with very complicated eyeshadow looks. In fact, most days I opt for the uber-minimalist look of just curling my eyelashes and putting on a healthy dose of mascara. But when I do decide to spend a bit more time on my appearance in the mornings I nine times out of ten go for a single eyeshadow that can just be swept all over the lid. Because of the sheer convenience of eyeshadow sticks, they are always my go-to eyeshadow option for that one-wash application. So here's a run-down of my shadow stick picks (harharhar rhyming)...
Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes in Fuller Fudge - This was my first foray into eyeshadow sticks. For starters I love the color of this eyeshadow. It's a really nice mid-toned reddish-brown color with a light dose of shimmer. While it does lose a few points for not having the most precise nib, it does smudge impeccably well and used with an eye primer lasts a really long time.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bluffing - The Rimmel Scandeleyes line is pretty amazing and the eyeshadow stick is no exception. I love the shade Bluffing as an all over lid color for when I want a pretty light eyeshadow look. The color is a really nice shimmery taupe that doesn't pull too silvery on me. Because it is shaped like a slightly larger eyeliner, it makes it really easy to apply on the lower lashline. I have a feeling on dark skin tones this shade would also look amazing as an inner corner highlight shade.
Charlotte Tilbury Color Chameleon in Bronzed Garnet - Whenever I'm feeling that Mary-Kate Olson look, I reach for this eyeshadow stick. While the Clinique shadow is a much more toned down reddish brown, the Charlotte Tilbury offering is a full-on rusty brown shade with a lot more shimmer, while not being at all glittery. This is easily the longest-lasting eyeshadow out of the bunch and once it sets boy does it set, so you do need to blend it in pretty quickly once applied.
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst - This is the newest entry into my eyeshadow stick collection. I had heard so many amazing things about this formula in general and specifically about this shade. Despite the fact that this is easily one of the best wearable brownish-purple shades on the market, the formula is my favorite out of all the eyeshadow sticks I've tried. It is super creamy and blendable.
So now I turn over the floor to you... which eyeshadow sticks should I add to my collection next?
