The 8am Class Face
When this post goes live I will be dragging my very tired self to my 8am class. Now I don't know what it is but I can wake up at 6:30 am during the weekend with no problem, but waking up for class at 6:30 on a weekday is a serious struggle. I tend to look quite tired, that is to say my undereye circles resemble that of a zombie's, therefore making myself look fresh and somewhat awake is a priority. I do this makeup look in part because it makes me look much more awake but also because it is so quick and speedy and I can do it all without using a single brush.
For the base I use the Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer because it makes my skin look nice and dewy but also doesn't look very heavy and is actually almost untraceable once applied. Concealer is really the area where I'm a fan of full coverage, my concealer choice for those early mornings is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, because it is has enough coverage to conceal my zombie-undereyes and it also works like a charm at concealing blemishes and redness. Blush is the one product that always makes me feel better and for early mornings when I want to get my makeup done quickly there's nothing better than the Stila Convertible Color in the shade Lilium, which is the perfect subtle pink color. On the eyes I like to use a bit of the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in RSVP to add a hint of shimmer and brightness, do a good curl of the eyelashes, and then apply a healthy dose of the Clinique High Impact Mascara. Then finally on the lips I like to use a bit of the MAC Lustering Lipstick, which is a great kind of bright warm-toned pink that does a great job at perking up my complexion. I apply it quite thinly on to the lips and then blend it in with my fingers to create a nice pink stain.
Off to class we go.
