I have a very difficult time finding a concealer that can cover everything and by everything I mean dark circles, redness, and blemishes. Often a concealer for blemishes is too dry and cakey for under the eyes and conversely, a concealer for under eyes is too creamy and has a bit too much slip to cover blemishes. However, I think I have officially found my holy grail concealer, and it is the Clarins Instant Concealer. Loads of bloggers have been going on about this concealer for awhile and I've always loved the Clarins Instant Light range so I'd thought I'd give the concealer a try.
It is definitely more moisturizing than the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer, because it has more of a gel texture, whereas the NARS is much more of a classic cream concealer. Even though it is moisturizing, I find that it is perfect for all over the face including blemishes. Now I have to admit that my skin is far better than it was even a year ago and when I have a serious zit I will always rely on my trusty Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer to cover it up completely. However, for small spots and discoloration this concealer is great and for being so light the coverage is very good.
As for undereye darkness and just general redness that's where this concealer really shines (and not in the literal sense, don't worry). It has great coverage, as previously mentioned, but it also blends into the skin seamlessly and never looks cakey or dry. Somehow, though it is quite moisturizing, it never looks greasy or settles into fine lines.
I'd say the only downside of this concealer is it only comes in three measly shades, which is just odd to me, and they don't go very dark at all. So if you match one of the shades that's great, as for those of you that don't, I'll be on the hunt for a concealer that rivals this one and has a better shade range!
Have you tried this concealer? What's your favorite concealer?
