No matter the state of my skin, I always like to do a face mask during the weekend. I do this because 1) it's really relaxing and 2) I like to pamper my skin at least once a week in order to keep it in as good condition as possible. However, on the rare occasion that my skin isn't acting up in some way, I am stuck as to which face mask to use. The Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal mask can be a bit much for non-congested skin and their Drink Up Intensive can also be a little bit too much hydration if my skin isn't dry.
Enter the First Aid Beauty Instant Oatmeal Mask. I've been hearing lots of good things about this brand from the likes of missglamorazzi and the skincare queen herself, Caroline Hirons, so I knew their products would be good. Then I saw a video of Fleur talking about this mask and I just thought *yep I need that in my life*. The mask promises to hydrate, nourish, and calm the skin and I can safely say it ticked off all those boxes. Any redness I had was soothed and my skin felt amazingly soft after I took off the mask. The subtle oatmeal scent also added to how calming the mask felt. I have a feeling I will be using this mask in the winter when my skin is more on the dry/sensitive side. I would definitely recommend this to people with very sensitive skin who find traditional clay-based masks too harsh or those who have good skin already but want to treat themselves to a little bit of a pamper sesh.
