April Favorites

I know it's a total cliché but, where did April go?! One minute it was my birthday and then now all of the sudden it's May! Anywho, I've been trying out some new stuff and rediscovering things in my collection this month and I've found some really great products to include in this month's favorites post.

M.A.C Mineralize Skin Finish Natural
I always tend to go back to this powder when I'm having good skin days (which have become increasingly frequent). This works great to set liquid foundation, but I really like to apply a bit of concealer and then buff this into the skin with a kabuki brush, to add a bit of coverage and overall evenness to the skin.

Pixi Glow Tonic
As aforementioned, my skin hasn't been acting up this month and I think this stuff is the reason why. I first heard about this from THE skincare guru, Caroline Hirons, and once I had finished up my Aveda Botanical Kinetics exfoliator I figured I'd give this one a go. This toner/exfoliant contains witch hazel, which is what I think is making my skin look so great, as witch hazel contains salicylic acid, which helps control and reduce breakouts.

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in RSVP
I'm always a sucker for cream champagne eyeshadows, they're just so darn easy to apply and look so pretty in the spring and summer. The Benefit offering is a nice one because they really do stick around all day, and considering we've been having very summer-like weather in California as of late, long-lasting products are a must!

Clinique Chubby Stick For Eyes in Lots O' Latte
This was a Celina induced purchase, this product always pops up on her blog and knowing how good the other shades of the Chubby Sticks for Eyes are, I knew this one wouldn't disappoint. I have been wearing this almost everyday because it's super quick and easy to apply and the color is super flattering and strikes the perfect balance between not being to light or dark.

Essie Mademoiselle
If you read this blog regularly, you will know all about my love for dark polishes, in fact it's hard for me to break away from them during the warmer months. Despite all of this, I have been trying out lighter colors, especially this classic light pink shade from Essie, and I got to say, I love the way this color looks. It's pretty sheer so it requires a good three coats, but the color is super flattering and makes the hands look very polished and pulled together.

What are your April favorites?
