The Spring Edit
As much as I love Autumnal/Wintery makeup, I do love all the pastels and light pretty colors that come out during Spring. Sometimes it's nice to take a break from all the dark lips and smokey eyes and embrace a more paired down makeup routine, and spring is the perfect time to do just that.
NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Alhambra
Come spring time I love just wearing a wash of a light shimmery color all over the lids and this duo is perfect for that look. The shade on the right is more of a pinky champagne whereas the one on the left is a light gold. These two eyeshadows look great on their own, but I also love to mix them together to make a really pretty champagne gold.
Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Watermelon Twist
I've never really been super into the pink lipstick look but I think in spring time its nice to sport a fresh pink lip. I love this lip pencil because 1) it's super easy to apply, 2) the pigmentation is sheer but can be built up to be more full on and 3) the color is really flattering. This lip pencil also feels very moisturizing and lip balm like.
Butter London Polish in Poole
I love a good dark nail polish (as you very well know if you read my NOTD posts) but I love embracing the light/pastel nails during spring. One of my favorite nail polishes for this season is Poole by Butter, it is a perfect robin's egg blue and it is the closest match I have found to Tiffany box blue, which is my favorite color of all time.
NARS Blush in Deep Throat
Every year I bust this out in the warmer seasons after a few months of neglect, and every time this happens I am reminded of just how perfect this blush is. It is the perfect balance of pink and peach with a slight golden shimmer that adds just the right amount of glow to the skin without making it look like a disco ball. If you don't own this blush, well all I can say is: you should.
Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes in Bountiful Beige
Again going along with the champagne eyeshadow trend, I love this eyeshadow stick just for the sheer convenience of it. It literally takes five seconds to apply; I run it all over my eyelids messily, blend with my finger and then I'm done. The shade is also a perfect light champagne with the perfect amount of shimmer. This is a great option if you love low-maintenance makeup or don't have a lot of time to spend getting ready.
