Winter Skin Saviors
I'm lucky enough to live in a state that hasn't been affected by the "polar vortex", but even in sunny California my skin suffers from the wintertime blues. This is a roundup of my winter skin heroes, all of these products can make even my driest skin feel silky smooth.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
I've spoken about this mask before on the blog but it's worth reiterating just how amazing this product is. I use this mask about once a week during the winter, or just whenever my skin is feeling super dehydrated and just a bit blah. I put a thick layer all over my face, instead of moisturizer, at night and by the morning my skin looks glowy and feels super soft!
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter
I use the lotion version of this for my everyday body moisturizer, but during the winter when my skin gets even drier I tend to use the original body butter formula. Besides the amazing smell, this body butter makes my skin super soft and can even tackle my super dry elbows (now that is the test of a good body butter!).
Burt's Bees Nourishing Mango Lip Balm
I know I go on and on about the Dior Crème de Rose lip balm, but sometimes you just need good ol' chapstick. Especially when I'm skiing, I don't want whip out some pot of lip balm on the slopes. The mango flavored Burt's Bees lip balm is my absolute favorite of the bunch and it keeps my lips feeling nice and moisturized for quite a few hours.
Soap & Glory Flake Away Scrub
My legs tend to get really dry in the winter and about once a week after I shave I like to exfoliate with a sugar scrub, and my favorite product to do this is the Soap & Glory Flake Away Scrub. It leaves my legs feeling extremely smooth and it smells absolutely amazing (like the Righteous Butter)!
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream
If I don't feel like using something quite as intense as the Origins mask, but my skin is still pretty dry, I like to use a really thick moisturizing cream at night. The Cetaphil one is great because it is super moisturizing and great if you have really sensitive and irritated skin.
