September is here and I could not be more excited! September means two things to me: the beginning of fall and moving off to college, needless to say I'm pretty excited about both. For some reason August felt like it went by very slowly, which is odd because normally months seem to go by in the blink of an eye (wow that rhymed). Ok I'm done rambling and I'll get down to business and tell you what my favorite products of the month were.
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum
I bought this serum at the beginning of the month because my skincare routine needed a bit of an update (which you can read all about here). I had never really ventured into the magical world of serums before this little beauty came into my life and boy has it changed my skin! I have quite oily/combination skin that is very dehydrated, which just makes my skin even more oily, I have found that this serum has helped with that problem amazingly. This serum is super lightweight and when I wake up in the morning after applying this the night before my skin just feels so nourished and hydrated. (I will be doing a full updated skincare routine very soon!)
MAC Syrup Lipstick
This lipstick is one of my most recent additions to my lipstick collection and it has gotten lots of love ever since I brought it home. I love this lipstick, as it is super comfortable to wear and it just adds the nicest and most natural berry/plummy tone to my lips. It is the perfect everyday color for me and it is definitely a great lipstick for the fall when you don't feel like wearing a super dark lip.
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
I've been keeping it pretty simple with the eye makeup this month and after hardly any use for a month and a half or so the Naked Basics palette has found its way back into my life and my heart. This palette has the perfect selection of basic (who would've guessed?!) eye shadow shades, all matte except for one. If you are a neutral/natural makeup lover like me you will love this palette.
MAC Grain Eyeshadow
When I'm not using matte eyeshadows from the UD Naked Basics palette I use Grain all over the lid as a nice wash of color. I really love this color because its a nice skin toned shimmery color but the shimmer isn't super chunky and it looks very natural. I think that this is one of the most underrated MAC eyeshadows and it deserves a lot more hype because it is a beautifully simple shadow.
Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer
No surprises here, this lip gloss is perfect in every sense of the word. The color is perfect, the texture is perfect, the moisturizing is perfect. You can read more about how life-changing this lip gloss is here.
MAC Painterly Paint Pot
Because I have been going for the matte, über natural eye makeup Painterly Paint Pot by MAC has been getting a lot of use this month. It is just the perfect base for any matte eyeshadow and the color evens out the eyelids beautifully.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty
I have been loving the bright après ski blush look this month because I have been doing such minimal eye makeup. When applied with a Real Techniques Stippling Brush, this blush creates the best naturally flushed look. You really don't need very much of this blush because it is so pigmented.
What have you been loving for the month of August?
