A Skin Savior For Every Occassion
Origins and I go waaaaaaay back. In fact my first makeup-related memory was of 5 year old me going into the Origins store at the mall so mom could repurchase her favorite lipstick. I've always thought their products were great, but I've never been one to use a whole lot of them.
Enter the world of beauty blogs. Over the past year or so Origins has been getting quite a bit of love from a whole host of beauty and skin care bloggers and I would be lying if I said those posts didn't influence my wanting to purchase these two skin care items. I can safely say that these two masks can get my skin out of pretty much any problem it's having and here's why...
Origins Clear Improvement Mask ~ $24
This is definitely the most traditional of the two face masks, you apply it onto damp skin and leave it to harden, which takes about 15-20 minutes. I've tried lots of clay-based masks like this one and I have to say that this one takes the cake. I love to use this mask when my skin is feeling a bit congested and gross (ahem around that time of the month) and after I take it off I can see a noticeable improvement in my skin. I give this mask especially high marks because although it is clarifying it doesn't completely dry out my skin.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask ~ $24
Speaking of dry skin, the Drink Up intensive mask does absolute wonders for my skin when its very dehydrated and/or dry. I apply this mask in place of my moisturizer about one night a week in a thick layer all over my skin, and when I wake up in the morning my skin will have quite literally drunk up all of the mask! This mask contains a load of hyaluronic acid and other fruit oils, all great ingredients for dehydrated skin. And as an added bonus: this mask smells like peaches and apricots and believe me, it is divine!!
