The Pink One Estée Lauder Crystal Baby
If you read this blog you know how much I dislike light pink lipsticks, mainly because they are normally far to blue-toned and therefore make my naturally rosy lips look extremely ashy! Crystal Baby by Estée Lauder is, however, one of the only light pink lipsticks that I like, and in fact I love this color. It fits in the category of "my lips but better" lipsticks because it is basically my lips just slightly peachier/pinker.
The Sophisticated One NARS Dolce Vita
To put it simply there are few lipsticks I love more than NARS Dolce Vita. This is probably the closest match to my natural lip color. I like to wear this lipstick when I want a very polished look, as this color is a nice berry/red/brown hue. Although the description makes it sound like this would be a really deep and pigmented color, it really is quite sheer and lightweight (as you can see in the swatch).
The Mauve One Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey
This is a great lip stick (ok it doesn't technically count as a lipstick because it's a stain) to achieve a "my lips but better" look because mixes perfectly with virtually any lip color. I have seen people with lighter colored lips than me wear this and this adds a really nice mauve-pink tone to the lips and since its a stain it looks like your lips are naturally that color.
The Plum One MAC Syrup
My most recent addition to my "my lips but better" collection is this little gem, MAC Syrup. I have to admit, in the lipstick bullet it looks very purple but once applied this lipstick adds a nice bit of plummy-ness to the lips. I absolutely love this color and I think it is an especially great everyday color for the fall.
Have you found a good "my lips but better lipstick"?
